Our School

At Berean Academy, we value individualality. We provide a safe, family-oriented environment where we discipline and educate our scholars using the principals of Love and Logic. We value a high moral code and strive to be a thriving academic and extracurricular community that fulfills every student’s needs.

Academic Excellence

We work diligently to create a quality, child-centered curriculum that emphasizes strong family values and is aligned with Arizona Department of Education standards. We supplement our curriculum with hands-on learning activities and expect all students to adhere to our Scholar’s Pledge.

Scholar PledgeMentor Pledge

Beyond Textbooks
At Berean Academy, the curriculum for K–12 reading, writing, math, science, art, PE, and history comes from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. This comprehensive program increases student achievement through an integrated approach to teacher development, student assessment, and intervention.

Edmentum
Edmentum provides additional coursework for our middle and high school scholars. Edmentum’s blended learning model helps us personalize each scholar’s learning experiences by blending traditional instruction with multiple practice opportunities (via technology) to allow students to move forward at their own pace.

Character Education

At Berean Academy, character education is equally important as academics. Through Character First Education, we help parents support the development of their child’s moral character and personal responsibility. Using fun, character-based lessons, mentor-teachers engage students for leadership and life success.

Love and Logic

Our classrooms utilize the principles found in Love and Logic to provide children with a safe and loving environment in which they can learn and grow. We encourage you to provide a consistent set of standards for your children that teach them the importance of learning and making quality decisions.
